Maps are usually posted on boards which you can find shortly after entering a new area. Maps of some locations can be found in a couple of places, you just need to find any one of them. There are also "supplementary" maps that cause additional interesting points, etc. to be added to the maps you already have.
Oceanview Hotel Map Chapter: Initiation 5: Room 665. This map hangs on the wall in the reception room located on the first floor.
