The Formula 1 world has gone up in flames ever since the news of Lewis Hamilton‘s entry into Ferrari got leaked by the media. While nobody has put the numbers on the deal between the Briton and the Scuderia, it can very well be guessed that the oldest and most successful team in F1 has hired the seven-time World Champion. But amidst all of this, there is one racer who is now confirmed to lose his seat in the pinnacle of motorsports after 2025–it is Carlos Sainz.
Carlos Sainz has had a smooth-sailing Formula 1 career till now since he debuted with Toro Rosso in 2015. Then, he moved to McLaren in 2019 to form a successful partnership with Lando Norris. With Sainz and Norris at the helm, the papaya army moved to the top 3 in the Constructors’ Championship Standings in 2020. And in 2021, it was announced that Carlos Sainz will move to Ferrari as Charles Leclerc‘s partner.
After 4 years as a Ferrari racer, Carlos Sainz has now confirmed that he will move out. This is happening since he has to make way for seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton to move to Maranello.
Ferrari and I will not continue together from the end of 2024. We have a long season ahead of us and, as always, I will give everything for the team and for the Tifosi.Carlos Sainz wrote in his statement, as reported by SoyMotor.
Carlos Sainz has to leave Ferrari despite being their own Grand Prix winner in 2023
Last season saw Carlos Sainz rise above all the other non-Red Bull drivers as he won the Singapore GP by displaying a brilliant performance. The Spaniard had even surpassed Ferrari’s marqueé driver Charles Leclerc in his very first season with them. But now, he has confirmed he will leave the team.
This move is taking place because Ferrari have not renewed his contract which is set to end in 2024. And they have already confirmed talks with Lewis Hamilton who will shift to Maranello to take up the seat beside Charles Leclerc in Sainz’s absence.
Now, Carlos Sainz does not have a seat at any of the F1 teams beyond 2024. But he has commented via X that his team will be releasing some news regarding his future very soon.
We will announce news about my future in due time.Carlos Sainz wrote in his statement, via SoyMotor.
In other news, the entire F1 world has been discussing the move of Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari. This has made the already-popular team even more popular and the share prices of the Scuderia touched a whopping $7 billion at one point. Now, it only remains to be seen whether Lewis Hamilton is able to make the scores of Ferrari rise as high as their market prices once he moves to Maranello after leaving Mercedes.
