Carlos Sainz has had a smooth-sailing Formula 1 career till now since he debuted with Toro Rosso in 2015. Then, he moved to McLaren in 2019 to form a successful partnership with Lando Norris. Last season saw Carlos Sainz rise above all the other non-Red Bull drivers as he won the Singapore GP by displaying a brilliant performance. The Spaniard had even surpassed Ferrari’s marqueé driver Charles Leclerc in his very first season with them. But now, he has confirmed he will leave the team.
This move is taking place because Ferrari have not renewed his contract which is set to end in 2024. And they have already confirmed talks with Lewis Hamilton who will shift to Maranello to take up the seat beside Charles Leclerc in Sainz’s absence.
Now, Carlos Sainz does not have a seat at any of the F1 teams beyond 2024. But he has commented via X that his team will be releasing some news regarding his future very soon.
