Back in the twelfth edition of The Ultimate Fighter, Team George St-Pierre went against Team Josh Koscheck. While Josh brought familiar faces to assist his team, GSP surprised everyone with the weird array of trainers he introduced every week.
Once he brought a Muay Thai trainer called Jean Charles Skarbowsky. Jean came to the gym drunk sporting a dadbod. Georges warned his trainees saying, “If you spare with him you gonna respect him he will respect you, I seen a guy prove a point with him go hard on Muay Thai he gonna knock you out cold …so please be careful.”
Skarbowsky reportedly took a 14-hour flight from France to Las Vegas, hopped off, partied at The Rehab pool party at The Hard Rock, and then entered the gym to train with the young men.
GSP explained how Jean was a completely different breed of fighter who managed to be at the top of his game despite drinking and sleeping three hours a day. The Muay Thai trainer might look like a charlatan from his appearance but in reality, he was an accomplished Fighter. As the below Twitter user suggests, the trainer was truly a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.
