The house on King Road in Moscow where the murders of four University of Idaho students occurred on Nov. 13, 2022, will remain a crime scene.

According to recently released documents Kohberger through his attorney, Public Defender Anne C. Taylor preserved the crime scene at 1122 King Road, Including the home and all outbuildings, vehicles, and the land surrounding the house.

Kohberger also requested the court order the Latah County Prosecutor's office to preserve all evidence in its custody or control or under the control of its agents. He also requested that the Prosecution be ordered to notify the defense before any testing or examination that could be potentially destructive.

The court granted Kohbergers motion on Dec. 30, 2022, and ordered the house, outbuildings, vehicles, and the land surrounding the house be preserved until February 1, 2023,

Remediation on the house was set to begin on Dec. 30, 2022, but was halted abruptly on Friday morning due to the request of the court.
