Jaan Kumar Sanu is an Indian singer, songwriter and musician. He is the son of the Kumar Sanu who is a legendary singer in Bollywood. His real name is Jayesh Bhattacharya. The singer is currently a participant in the latest season of Bigg Boss or Bigg Boss: “Ab Scene Paltega”
Biography
Jaan Kumar Sanu was born on 16th April 1994 (age 26) as Jayesh Bhattacharya, he later switched to his stage name which originates from his daaknam (nickname). Jaan’s parents separated when his mother was six months pregnant with him. The singer did his schooling from Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Mumbai and his degree from Kolkata University. He went on to pursue a career in the music industry.
Career
Jaan’s career began at the tender age of eight when he decided to follow the footsteps of his father into the world of music. He released his first Bengali album Tomhra Shunbe Toh , this achievement was recorded in the Limca Book of Records as he was the youngest singer to release his own original album. The singer has since had a fruitful career in recording both Hindi and Bengali songs. He has also accompanied his father Kumar Sanu in live concerts and shows.
Sanu had also participated in the Star Plus reality TV series Rin Mera Star Superstar in 2006. His song Dil Mera Churaya Kyun which he releasd in 2016 gained massive attention and has almost 6 million views on YouTube. This song was a recreation of one of his father’s old works and it was very well received by the audience.

Jaan Kumar Sanu was raised by his mother after his parents split. He has two brothers Jesse Bhattacharya who is a teacher and is Zicco Bhattacharya who is a graphic designer. Jaan has two step sisters as well from his father’s current marriage Shannon K (Hollywood Singer) and Annabel. The singer is currently unmarried.
